Tomatoes, Isle s/l Sorgue

The varieties of tomatoes available in September, in Provence are stunning.

There must be very few pests in the Apt area. I passed a few gardens with seven and eight foot tomato vines. Covered with fruit and all of it unblemished.

I may have a picture of a garden in Saignon that had eight plants, all over six feet high, one each of eight varieties, with enough fruit to feed a large family all winter.

The envy was palpable on my part.
