Walk to Chez Gianni, Sivergues

Our most memorable meal of all of our trips to Provence happened this year.

Harvey and Carol had discovered a wonderful website called Chocolate and Zucchini, written by a young French woman who loves food. She lived in the US for some time so her English writing is clear and very amusing. Well worth a visit. It's
www.chocolateand zucchini.com

She describes a trip to a restaurant in Sivergues called Chez Gianni, a farm/restaurant way up in the hills of Provence, that is almost medieval in look and feel.

It sounded like so much fun that we booked a lunch there. You park in the town of Sivergues and walk about a mile up a very steep dirt road. Which we did, only to find that there is parking at the top. But we'd need the walk after lunch, so it was a good mistake.
